How to Use the Sanyo ICR-B180NX Digital Voice Recorder
The Sanyo ICR-B180NX is a digital voice recorder that can record up to 180 hours of audio in MP3 format. It has a built-in stereo microphone, an external microphone socket, a USB port, and a LCD display. It also has various functions such as voice activation, repeat playback, file erase, and folder selection. In this article, we will show you how to use the Sanyo ICR-B180NX digital voice recorder.
Turning the Power On and Off
To turn on the power, slide the power switch on the right side of the unit to ON. The LCD display will light up and show the current folder and file number. To turn off the power, slide the power switch to OFF. The LCD display will go off and the unit will enter standby mode.
Recording Audio
To record audio, press the record/pause button on the front of the unit. The REC indicator will light up and the recording time will start counting on the LCD display. You can adjust the recording volume by pressing the volume buttons on the front of the unit. To pause recording, press the record/pause button again. The REC indicator will blink and the recording time will stop counting. To resume recording, press the record/pause button again. To stop recording, press the stop/menu button on the front of the unit. The REC indicator will go off and the recorded file will be saved in the selected folder.
Playing Back Audio
To play back audio, press the play/pause button on the front of the unit. The PLAY indicator will light up and the playback time will start counting on the LCD display. You can adjust the playback volume by pressing the volume buttons on the front of the unit. To pause playback, press the play/pause button again. The PLAY indicator will blink and the playback time will stop counting. To resume playback, press the play/pause button again. To stop playback, press the stop/menu button on the front of the unit. The PLAY indicator will go off and the playback time will return to zero.
Selecting a Folder
The Sanyo ICR-B180NX has four folders (A, B, C, D) that can store up to 99 files each. To select a folder, press and hold the folder/repeat button on the front of the unit until the folder name appears on the LCD display. You can switch between folders by pressing the folder/repeat button repeatedly.
Erasing Audio Files
To erase an audio file, select the file you want to erase by pressing the skip/search buttons on
the front of the unit. Then press and hold
the erase button on
the front of
the unit until ERASE flashes on
the LCD display. Press
the erase button again to confirm
the erasure or
press
the stop/menu button to cancel
the erasure.
Connecting to a Computer
To connect
the Sanyo ICR-B180NX to a computer, slide
the USB cover on
the left side of
the unit and insert
the USB cable into
the USB port. Then connect
the other end of
the USB cable to a USB port on your computer. The unit will be recognized as a removable disk by your computer and you can access
the audio files stored in
the folders.
